A recently published book, 100 Greatest Fights of All Time, features detailed descriptions of the sport's 100 greatest contests. The list was compiled by the magazine Boxing News with the help of boxing historians Bob Mee and George Zeleny. The first of three unforgettable meetings between Rocky Graziano and Tony Zale claimed the fourth spot on the list. Taking place in September of 1946, the two first met in Manhattan as a younger, offense-oriented Graziano faced off against defending Middle Weight Champion Zale, known for his ability to take punches. After a sizzling start, the young Graziano was upended in the sixth round. Graziano rebounded the following year to take the title from Zale. That match, their second meeting, was ranked eleventh on the list.
